Schrödinger’s Call Finally Dials in a Release Date

We were totally enamoured with the heartfelt visual novel, Schrödinger’s Call, when we first tried it out in last October’s Steam Next Fest, thanks to its unique narrative and gorgeous anime-style visuals. We’ve been patiently waiting for its release, and thankfully we don’t have much longer to wait, as it finally received its release date of May 28th, 2026, for Nintendo Switch and PC.

Developed by Acrobatic Chirimenjak, Schrödinger’s Call is an emotional visual novel adventure that unfolds like an illustrated storybook, exploring grief, connection and the hope of being heard. Set in the final 21 nanoseconds before a moon crashes into Earth and ends all life, players follow Mary, a girl who awakens in a strange room with no memory of who she is or how she arrived there. Guided by a mysterious cat named Hamlet, Mary becomes the world’s final listener, answering calls from strangers caught between life and death through an old telephone.

Each call reveals personal stories of love, pain, solace and words left unsaid while players slowly uncover the truth behind Mary herself. With theatrical presentation, intimate storytelling, and warm, picture-book-inspired visuals, Schrödinger’s Call is a reflective experience about the pain and salvation of human connection, where every voice, memory, and regret carries weight in the final moments before the end.

A free Chapter 1 demo of Schrödinger’s Call is now available on Steam. The Nintendo Switch store page is now live, allowing Nintendo Switch players to add the game to their wishlist ahead of the launch.

We can’t wait to dive into chapter one of the game when it releases on May 28th, 2026, and if you’re lucky enough to be at BitSummit PUNCH, then an exclusive look at chapter 3 will be available to try out!
