About Us

So Many Games is a supporter-based video game website consisting of a team of people passionate about video games and their discoverability. We all do this unpaid and in our spare time, fitting it in with our full-time jobs, families and other life responsibilities. But our passion for games, especially indie games, drives us to create the work we do.

Indie games are especially our driving force for the experiences they bring, their affordable pricing and the innovation they can hold. We all have had lifelong memories given to us from playing indie titles, and it’s these experiences that are at the heart of everything we do.

Game discoverability is tough; with thousands upon thousands of games released every year, it’s a rough journey for some developers, so we want to give something back to the industry that’s given us so much joy over the years, which we do with our reviews, articles, interviews, podcast, newsletter and videos.

The So Many Games Journey

So Many Games was born from an old podcast that Jason used to do. With a blogging feature on the accompanying website, he started to write video game reviews on games from his personal library back in 2022.

Over a short period, he started to get keys sent to him to cover new unreleased games. The writing team started to expand and eventually, with three other writers on board, was creating a regular amount of reviews – it started to outgrow the podcast’s website.

It was decided to create a brand new website with a new name to house our video game coverage, and so, So Many Games was born. Concentrating on making the site as clean as possible, we also decided to keep it as unobtrusive as possible. That’s why you’ll find no adverts or cookie pop-ups, because it frustrates us just as much as it does you when we visit websites that are out to stop you from seeing the content you’ve visited for.

As time went on, the team grew and grew, and we now have over 15 people writing regularly for the site and our Patreon. We don’t plan to stop there, and hopefully, with your support, who knows where this journey could take us!
